Description of Accident: Two men were killed on Tuesday after being electrocuted while working on a building on Goer Drive. Authorities report that the victims, a 34-year-old man and a 26-year-old man from New Jersey, were contracted workers installing gutters using a hydraulic boom lift when the lift’s basket came into contact with an active power line. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the situation could not be fully controlled until Dominion Energy shut off the power. Both men died as a result of the incident. Officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the workplace accident.
