I was very pleased with the process and appreciated the urgency the Joye Law Firm took in my case. Tommy and Kayla were very helpful and informative the whole way through. Dealing with this type of situation can be extremely stressful but thankfully it was anything but that. I recommend the Joye Law Firm to anyone seeking impeccable representation from an injury lawyer.

Tommy’s Approach with New Clients

When Tommy meets with prospective clients, he says his initial goal is to help the person understand that they have come to the right place and are in capable hands. He seeks to get to know each client on a personal level and understand how an injury has affected their daily life. That personalized attention helps him advocate more effectively for the client. “They are going through rough times,” he says. “I want to alleviate their anxieties and help them to understand that we can shoulder some of their burdens. I try to help them feel comfortable that they are on the right path.”

A Great Fit at Joye Law Firm

He was attracted to Joye Law because of the law firm’s positive culture and commitment to serving clients. The satisfaction he gets from working as a personal injury lawyer at Joye Law is knowing the established law firm’s attorneys and staff are doing everything possible to help clients through difficult times.

“I don’t think you can do this job if you don’t have a level of empathy to understand what other people are going through,” he says. “I like the idea of using my knowledge, talents, and the skills I’ve developed and honed during my career to be able to help other people.”

Tommy’s Background and Education

Tommy grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia on the outskirts of Atlanta, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a double major in Political Science and English.

He attended Charleston School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2012.Joye Law Firm Attorneys Attend Injured Workers’ Advocated Annual Meeting

After obtaining his law degree, he worked a number of years as an Assistant Solicitor in the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office serving Horry and Georgetown counties. The job provided valuable courtroom experience. He uses his experience litigating cases to his advantage when he represents injured people in personal injury and worker’s compensation cases. He won’t allow an insurance company to bully a client into taking a settlement that is not in the client’s best interest. He is always prepared to go to court for clients when necessary to demand justice.

When he is not practicing law, Tommy enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, cheering on the Dawgs, and doing outdoor activities such as cycling, running, hiking, and camping.
