Description of Accident: A chain‐reaction crash on I‑20 near the Longs Pond Road overpass involved five vehicles, including four motorcycles and a Chrysler sedan. The sedan veered off the road and struck the four stopped motorcycles on the shoulder at approximately 3:20 p.m. A rider on a 2015 Harley-Davidson was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals sustained non‑life‑threatening injuries and were hospitalized. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the circumstances that caused the sedan to leave the roadway.
