Holiday Festival of Lights

Each year, families create lasting memories at the Holiday Festival of Lights, where millions of multicolored lights illuminate the sky. This 3-mile journey is over 700 magical light displays of all shapes and sizes. The Holiday Festival of Lights has been recognized around the country and the world. Groovy Kinda’ Christmas

Don’t miss this all-new holiday show from the innovative 34 West Theater. Enjoy Christmas classics and 1960’s tunes from the Beach Boys to Motown. A menu of champagne cocktails, wine, craft beers, coke floats and savory snacks are available.

Progressive Dinner

Join in on a much loved holiday tradition for the 31st year in a row. Circa 1886 restaurant and Charming Inn hosts the “Charleston Holiday Progressive Dinner” where diners journey by carriage to three different locations. Guests start the evening with hor ‘doeuvres at Historic Kings Courtyard Inn, travel to Circa 1886 restaurant for a three-course dinner, and end the evening with coffee and dessert at Historic John Rutledge House Inn.

Breakfast With Santa

Start your holiday season off with creating memories with your family aboard the Breakfast with Santa Cruise. The Cruise includes a delicious breakfast buffet, a personal visit with Santa Claus, a keepsake photo and a holiday gift from Santa’s elf.

Reindeer Run

The Reindeer Run is a family-oriented, pet friendly 5k run/walk through the lower peninsula of downtown Charleston. This event is presented by Half-Moon Outfitters and the funds help MUSC develop and maintain a variety of programs in the Children’s Hospital and the Darby Children’s Research Institute, including research in the prevention and treatment of childhood diseases. This event includes a 5k run/walk, The Party and The After Party, which include live music, food, drinks, and race awards.

Charleston Jazz Orchestra: Holiday Swing

The most talented musicians in South Carolina perform in the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, led by music director and conductor, Charlton Singleton. This show is set to awe and inspire with a lively and diverse 2016 season of programming.

North Charleston Christmas Parade and Festival

This Christmas Festival includes a Holiday Market with children’s activities, craft and food vendors, and live musical performances on two stages. The parade begins at the corner of Montague and Mixson Avenues and concludes on Buist. Santa Claus will light the City’s Christmas tree, located outside the front entrance of the Felix C. Davis Community Center, during the Festival.

Special Needs Dance Party: Holiday Hoedown

People with special needs and their family and friends are invited to dust off their dancing shoes and dance the night away to their favorite music. Enjoy this western themed dance and break out your favorite country style. Mrs. Claus will offer light refreshments for guests!

The annual Holiday Farmers Market & Craft Show presents all the goodies from tradition food markets such as locally grown fresh produce, baked goods, hot food and homemade preserves with handcrafted gifts created by local artisans. This holiday event will have live entertainment, children’s activities, holiday shopping, and local artists.
