Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally

The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally is almost here! During this event, bikers will enjoy day-cation cruising rides up to Wilmington, North Carolina, Murrells Inlet into Charleston, and more. When not riding, hangout spots include the Harley-Davidson of Myrtle Beach, The Beaver Bar, Plantation Pancake House, and more. If heading South, the waterfront in Georgetown provides a gorgeous site and area to relax; if heading North, the many historic attractions and amazing seafood restaurants should be visited.

The event – along with the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally – is the largest motorcycle event in the Carolinas.

Location: Multiple restaurants and businesses throughout Myrtle Beach will participate in the fall rally. The fall rally breakfast restaurant of choice is the Plantation Pancake House, which is located at 1003 Hwy. 17-N, Surfside Beach, South Carolina 29575

Cost: There is no cost to ride.

Rules: Be advised that those who participate in the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally must follow all South Carolina laws and event rules, including: no drinking if under 21 years of age, no open containers in public areas, mandatory helmet law for those under age 21, no littering, and adherence to city noise ordinance laws.

St. John’s Greek Festival

St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will be holding its annual Greek Festival this year during the last days of September and into the first days of October. The Greek Festival is more than just a cultural celebration; it is also an opportunity to spend time with family and friends, enjoy dance and music, and indulge in some of the tastiest of Greek foods. The 24th annual festival at St. John’s will feature hundreds of pastries, dozens of vendors, Ouzo shots, and authentic Greek beer and imported Greek wines. Go with your adult friends or with your kids – the event is sure to be an awesome time for children and grownups alike.

Annual Wine Festival

The 7th Annual Myrtle Beach Wine Festival is for wine lovers and their friends and family alike. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or not, you’ll love the vino here, where more than 50 wines from around the world will be available for tasting. In addition to wine, festival attendees will also have the option of enjoying beer, live entertainment, and food. Because all guests sampling wine who attend must purchase a sampling wine glass, this event is best for those 21 and over only, so leave your children at home and make this a date night or night out with friends.

Little River Shrimpfest

The 12th annual Little River Shrimpfest, where more than 20,000 members of the Little River community and surrounding areas gather to celebrate this popular event, is nearly here. The two-day event features more than just shrimp (although the fresh local seafood is certainly one of the major draws); there will also be a children’s area, balloon artists, face painting, more than 150 different vendors, two stages of live music, and more. The event is family friendly, and is a great way to support local businesses, enjoy an afternoon outdoors, and sample some of the best seafood in South Carolina.

Conway BBQ Fest

The 11th annual Conway BBQ Fest is scheduled to take place this October, 2016! This scrumptious event features some of the best barbeque in South Carolina, as well as crafts and games, live music, and more all set in a beautiful location along the Waccamaw River. What’s more, the Conway BBQ Fest – previously known as the St. Nicholas BBQfest – is held in order to raise money for Conway Area Philanthropists, a local non-profit organization. Proceeds from the event will go to the Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs organization. This is a family-friendly event.

Time: The event will kick off on Friday at 5:30 p.m. with ‘Anything Butt Pork’. Dancing and live music will continue until 10:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the ‘War Between the States’, where representatives from North and South Carolina battle over which state makes the best BBQ.

Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival

This October, the Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival will take place along the Grand Strand. Not only is this event a celebration of delicious seafood and the local restaurants that provide it, but there will also be kid-friendly activities, beer and wine, and a corn hole tournament! The entertainment lineup includes the talents of Jim Quick & Coastline, The Bounty Hunters, The Castaways, and The Tams. For those who are interested in the corn hole tournament, registration opens at 10:00 a.m. (day of) and is $5 per player or $10 per team. Bring the whole family for a day of fun!

Taste of the Town

If you love food, the Taste of the Town in Myrtle Beach is an event you have to attend. Featuring dozens of the state’s most popular restaurants, the event invites select restaurants to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center to provide some of their best culinary bites at a reduced cost. Because the event is considered to be a way for newer restaurants to showcase their talents and show that they can hold their own amongst more established institutions, chefs really do it up to highlight their abilities. The restaurants also compete for recognitions of best dessert, best entrée, people’s choice, and more. Further, Taste of the Town is held to benefit the St. Andrew Catholic School, so you can eat (somewhat) guilt-free.

There will also be live entertainment at this year’s event!

Ghost Walk

With Halloween just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to ready yourself for the night of haunting with a pre-Halloween ghost walk through downtown Conway. This event features professional storytellers who know how to weave spooky stories of Conway in a memorable and chilling manner. The tour lasts about 60 minutes, and is a walking tour of about one mile’s distance. While the event has a few unsettling story highlights, it is appropriate for children. The event only happens for two days once per year, so make sure to sign up for it now!

Time: The Ghost Walk begins at 7:00 p.m. each night, and tours are given every 15 minutes up until 8:30 p.m.

To celebrate the beginning of fall and say goodbye to summer, the Endless Summer Festival on the shores of North Myrtle Beach is just around the corner. Spend the whole day outdoors on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, and enjoy great entertainment, vendors, crafts, delicious food, a children’s area, carnival rides, and of course – sand, water, and sunshine! In addition, the event will feature a free concert – all you need is your beach chair and the desire to relax and enjoy!

Halloween Bash

If you love Halloween, then the Halloween Bash – part of the Celebrity Square Halloween Party – is something you definitely don’t want to miss. The Halloween Bash will include a costume contest, DJ, and plenty of adult beverages. Keep in mind that the Halloween Bash is an adult only event for those ages 21 and over. (Those with children who are looking for a great trick-or-treating option can visit Celebrity Square Oct. 28 – 31 for face painting, trick or treating, and more). The adult party will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., with the costume contest starting later in the evening. Costume contest winners will receive awards and cash prizes! Further, all individuals and groups who wear costumes will receive free admission into all clubs in Celebrity Square.
