Description of Accident: A fatal car accident occurred on Thursday, claiming the lives of a Columbia couple. The incident took place at the intersection of Wrights Mill Road and Rushton Road. The couple, traveling in a 2018 Toyota Corolla northbound on Rushton Road, collided with a school bus heading east on Wrights Mill Road. Tragically, both victims, a 37-year-old man and his 29-year-old wife, perished at the scene. The Aiken County Coroner’s Office, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, is actively investigating the incident.
