Description of Accident: A tragic accident occurred just before 2 p.m. on Friday when a 38-year-old woman was fatally struck by an Isuzu box truck near Charles Towne Landing in Charleston. The truck was turning into the entrance of the historic site from Old Towne Road when it hit the pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the road. Emergency services responded quickly, but the woman succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and has been cooperating fully with authorities.
