Description of Accident: On Sunday evening, a tragic accident resulted in the death of a 32-year-old female pedestrian from Maryland. The incident occurred at approximately 10 PM on Savannah Highway near Carrillo Street in Charleston, SC. According to the Charleston Police Department, the pedestrian was staying at a nearby hotel on Savannah Highway with another individual. While the two were attempting to cross Savannah Highway on foot, the woman was struck by a tow truck traveling south. Despite prompt emergency response, the Maryland woman was declared deceased at the scene.
