Description of Accident: In a tragic incident on Interstate 385, a 34-year-old Simpsonville woman lost her life in a high-speed, wrong-way collision. The small sedan, traveling south in the northbound lane, collided with a semi-truck near mile-marker 32, resulting in both vehicles becoming engulfed in flames around 1:30 a.m. The victim, succumbing to blunt-force trauma, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office is handling the investigation of this devastating crash.
