Description of Accident: A collision near SC 101 and Highway 296 in Greer, S.C. claimed a life just before 11:20 a.m. on Saturday. The Greer Police Department reported that a Nissan Altima, traveling southbound, struck a stationary Honda CR-V waiting at a traffic light on Highway 101. The Nissan’s driver, identified as a 43-year-old male, succumbed to injuries after being transported to the hospital. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office and the Greer Police Department’s Traffic Team are actively investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate loss.
