Description of Accident: A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Sumter, SC, died at the scene of a crash on I-20 on August 21. The incident occurred near the 76-mile marker around 7:10 p.m. The victim was traveling East on his motorcycle on I-20 when he collided with the back of a Nissan Versa stopped in the median. The motorcycle driver passed away, while the Versa driver was hospitalized. The Coroner’s office is collaborating with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to thoroughly investigate the accident.
