Description of Accident: A 70-year-old Summerville woman lost her life in a head-on collision on Orangeburg Road. The collision, reported around 6:34 p.m. near Hudson Grove Lane, involved a 2018 Honda CRV and a 2010 Lincoln MKZ. The victim, the rear seat passenger of the Honda, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Two other Honda occupants and the Lincoln MKZ driver were transported to Trident Medical Center. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are actively investigating the collision.
