Description of Accident: Officials from the South Carolina Highway Patrol are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on March 6th, 2023, at Hwy 213 in Fairfield County, SC. The incident took place at approximately 6:14 a.m. According to the police report, a Chevrolet Avalanche driven by a 19-year-old man was travelling northbound on the highway when it collided with a southbound tractor-trailer. The driver of the avalanche was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision and the semi-truck driver was taken to the hospital to treat their injuries.
