Description of Accident: A 41-year-old drunk driver hit a Hampton County Sheriff’s vehicle during a routine traffic stop on Highway 321 near Secession Road near the town of Estill. The collision injured the deputy and an 8-year-old child in the driver’s vehicle. The deputy and the child were airlifted to the hospital. The driver was charged with DUI, driving under suspension, and child endangerment.
