Description of Accident: A 34-year-old motorcyclist from Chapel Hill died in a tragic collision between a 2022 Toyota Camry and his 2003 Yamaha motorcycle. The accident occurred at the intersection of Summit Ridge Drive and Fox Grove Circle around 7:24 a.m. on July 31, approximately seven miles south of Blythewood. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and suffered life-threatening injuries, ultimately succumbing to them at Prisma Health Richland. The driver of the Camry remained uninjured. The Richland County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are conducting an ongoing investigation.
