Description of Accident: A well-respected community organizer from Loris was killed in an early morning crash involving his bicycle and an SUV. According to published reports, the 2011 Nissan SUV was traveling north near the intersection of Red Bluff Road and Silver Sand Drive in Loris, SC shortly before 6am when the vehicle struck the back of the bike’s tire. Tragically, 39-year-old cyclist succumbed to the injuries he suffered in the crash.
