Description of Accident: A 33-year-old man from Charleston has been identified by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office as the victim of a fatal collision on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard over the weekend. According to the coroner’s office, he died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred around 4:50 p.m. on May 6. The collision involved a vehicle traveling south that crossed into the opposite lane, striking a northbound vehicle. The southbound driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, while the occupants of the other vehicle sustained significant injuries and were taken to the Medical University of South Carolina.
