14th Annual Mardi Gras Columbia Festival

Details: Let the good times roll or “laissez les bon temps rouler” as they say in New Orleans! The Abita Brewing Company and the benevolent society of the Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya are sponsoring the 14th Annual Mardi Gras Columbia Festival this Saturday at City Roots Farm. The festival will feature a parade (starting at Jim Hamilton Blvd. in Rosewood), plus local vendors, food trucks, 3 stages with live music, and plenty of fun for everyone. Tickets are $5 and kids under 12 get in free!

Summerville

Boy Scouts Troop 2 BBQ Fundraiser

You can buy pulled pork bbq for $10/lb. or grab a $10 platter that includes pulled pork, baked beans, slaw, roll, and a drink. Marcy, a workers’ comp case manager in our Summerville office and Mom to one off the Scouts, can attest – it is delicious and made right there! Homemade desserts are also available for purchase.

Annual Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade

Details: Bring the family out to Barefoot Landing to view LuLu’s Annual Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade this Saturday.  Festivities kick off at 1pm with live music and fun, and the parade begins at 2pm by Greg Norman’s Australian Grille.  Attendees are encouraged to “dress funky” and cash prizes for “best dressed” and “best golf cart” will be awarded.
