The man was adjusting chains on his tow truck in preparation to pull a vehicle from a ditch when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries several days after the crash. The driver involved was later arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
