Description of Accident: A 44-year-old man has been charged with felony DUI following a crash on Savannah Highway that resulted in a fatality. According to authorities, the man was driving a pickup truck that pulled in front of an SUV attempting to cross the southbound lanes, causing the collision. The SUV had four occupants, all of whom were transported to a local hospital for treatment. A 69-year-old woman who was inside the SUV later died from her injuries. The driver accused of DUI was not injured in the crash. Officials continue to investigate the incident.
