Meet JeBria Wilson

I’m JeBria Wilson, a Columbia personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney at Joye Law Firm Injury Lawyers. Every day, I have the privilege of leveling the playing field for people across the Midlands whose lives have been turned upside down by unexpected injuries.   My proudest moments are when my representation helps someone change their narrative from one of victimhood to one of survival and resilience.

After a catastrophic event, you may be facing some of the most difficult times in your life. The loss of your health or stability may leave you feeling helpless and hopeless. That’s why my approach is rooted in combining patient guidance, caring client support, and strong legal advocacy. My job is to secure the resources you need for your full medical and financial recovery, while also providing a shoulder to lean on during the tough times. As a litigator, I handle a range of complex cases, including car accidents, motorcycle crashes, slip and fall incidents, animal attacks, and other serious injuries. I also assist injured workers in resolving disputes and pursuing the workers’ compensation benefits they are owed.

What Inspired You to Become an Attorney

I began college with different plans, but a class in health policy sparked my interest in the intersection of healthcare and the law. When I initially applied to law school, I planned to become a healthcare policy lobbyist. However, as I explored different areas of the law, I realized my true calling was to provide help directly to people in need. Today, I’m grateful to be in a position where I can help turn a moment of devastation into the foundation for a dignified future.

What Is Your Client Service Philosophy?

I believe in hearing directly from my clients. While I review the details of a case through files and documentation, those materials often don’t tell the full story. I take the time to get to know my clients and to understand their experiences, challenges, and goals. Part of my job is to find the most compelling way to share your story and to build a narrative that undeniably proves your right to compensation.

Every client has unique needs, and the way we communicate should reflect that. I want to meet you where you are. At the beginning of your case, we will set expectations on how often you’d like updates, your communication preferences, and what matters most to you throughout the process. At the end of the day, you are the reason I am fighting the insurance companies, and it’s important to me that your voice is heard.

JeBria’s Background and Professional Activities

JeBria grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, before attending the University of South Carolina, where she earned her degree in public health. Her passion for law led her to enroll at the University of South Carolina’s Joseph F. Rice School of Law.

During law school, JeBria was actively involved in the Black Law Students Association, where she developed educational programming and completed an externship with the Honorable Judge Jocelyn Newman.

After graduating, JeBria served as a prosecutor with the Richland County Solicitor’s Office, handling both criminal and family law cases. During her tenure, she helped revive the juvenile drug court program. She later joined Collins & Lacy, practicing personal injury defense and gaining additional experience in family law. She ultimately brought her diverse legal background to Joye Law Firm Injury Lawyers, where she now advocates for injured individuals across South Carolina.

Outside of work, JeBria enjoys cooking, reading, and playing video games. She has a lab mix named Bilbo and considers herself a foodie who loves exploring Columbia’s growing local food scene.
