Joye Law Firm Injury Lawyers was proud to participate in the 2025 Injured Workers’ Advocates (IWA) Annual Conference, held November 6–8 at the historic Grove Park Inn in Asheville. The IWA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers and their families across South Carolina, and this year’s conference brought together leaders from across the state for education, collaboration, and advocacy.
Our firm had a strong presence, with the following team members in attendance:
Managing Partner Ken Harrell, Head of our Workers’ Comp Department Matt Jackson, Attorneys Ryan LeBlanc, Sarah Khouri, Davis Rice, Sophie Dieckhaus, Ryan McCullar, Mickey Magaard, Mark Watkins, Tommy Terrell, and Case Manager Deana Nash.
Leadership, Recognition & Firm Achievements
Managing Partner Ken Harrell played a major role at this year’s conference, moderating a roundtable discussion with members of the South Carolina General Assembly, a key session focused on strengthening protections for injured workers statewide. Kenny also presented “Land of the Sky,” one of his well-known historical presentations that conference attendees look forward to each year.
The conference also highlighted notable leadership achievements within our firm:
- Attorney Davis Rice from our Greenville office was formally recognized for his two years of service on the IWA Executive Committee (November 2023–November 2025). His dedication and contributions to the organization continue to strengthen advocacy for injured workers.
- Attorney Sarah Khouri of our Columbia office was nominated and voted onto the Executive Committee for a two-year term, an honor that reflects her growing leadership and commitment to improving South Carolina’s workers’ compensation system.
We’re proud of our attorneys who continue to lead, educate, and advocate on behalf of South Carolina’s injured workers. Our firm’s long-standing involvement with the IWA underscores our mission to support and protect the rights of those who need it most.
