Details: To honor nearly 50 years of the city’s military history, the Myrtle Beach Military Appreciation Day parade and family picnic will celebrate those who serve or have served our nation. Spectators can line the streets of Pampas, Howard, and Farrow to watch the parade. Memorial Day Ceremony

Details: This program will honor the courage and sacrifice of U.S. military personnel. Councilwoman Harriet A. Holman, a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army, will deliver the opening remarks, followed by a keynote address from Chief Deputy Sam Richardson, also a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army. The ceremony will feature the Posting of Colors, the National Anthem, a wreath-laying at the Veterans Memorial, and a performance of Taps. Dorchester County invites residents and visitors from across the Lowcountry to join in honoring the commitment and bravery of our armed forces at the annual Memorial Day Ceremony.
