Description of Accident: A 23-year-old woman from Gaffney lost her life in a three-vehicle accident that occurred on Monday in the vicinity of West Highway 501 and Pee Dee S. Road, just north of Aynor, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. A 2010 Chevrolet Equinox attempted to cross east on Highway 501 and collided with a Dodge Ram and a Dodge Journey traveling north, causing one fatality and multiple injuries. The Equinox also hit a tree after the impact. The other occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.
