Description of Accident: A car crash in Orangeburg County claimed the life of an 18-year-old from Summerton, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 2:45 am on SC 47, where a 2007 Toyota Camry carrying five individuals veered off the road and flipped over. One person died at the scene, while the other four were transported to MUSC by EMS.
