Description of Accident: A 3-year-old boy died and his mother was injured in a car crash involving a suspected drunk driver on April 14 in South Carolina. The crash occurred when an SUV and a truck collided while traveling in opposite directions on U.S. 176 near Lebanon Road. The driver of the truck, a 48-year-old man, was charged with DUI involving death and DUI with great bodily injury. The mother and son were on their way to a birthday party when the crash occurred. The boy received multiple surgeries, but tragically, died from his injuries. His organs were donated to a child in New York.
