Description of Accident: A fatal DUI crash on Lake Murray Blvd. claimed the life of a beloved Saluda High School band director and girls soccer coach. The 34-year-old Columbia resident was hit from behind around 10:30 p.m., and despite efforts at the hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries. The at-fault driver faces charges of felony DUI among other charges. Irmo Police Department, assisted by South Carolina Highway Patrol’s MAIT, is actively investigating the tragic incident.
