Description of Accident: A tragic accident claimed the life of a 27-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday evening in Spartanburg. The crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of W.O. Ezell Boulevard and Camelot Drive. A Ford SUV was attempting to make a left turn onto Camelot Drive from W.O. Ezell Boulevard when it entered the center of the road. At the same time, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound toward Powell Mill Road and collided with the passenger side of the SUV. The impact of the crash launched the motorcyclist from his vehicle. Emergency crews transported both the SUV driver and the motorcyclist to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old rider later succumbed to his injuries. The SUV driver was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
