Description of Accident: A high-speed collision on Interstate 95 led to a driver being trapped in the wreckage. Colleton County Fire-Rescue responded to the incident at around 7:16 p.m. The vehicle, traveling northbound, veered off the interstate at a high speed, collided with a tree, and overturned in a wooded median. The victim was airlifted to Trident Medical Center by CARE Flight, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash’s cause.
