Description of Accident: A head-on collision in Lexington County claimed the life of a 49-year-old woman from Lexington. The incident occurred on Fish Hatchery Road near State Highway 6 at approximately 4 p.m. The South Carolina Highway Patrol’s preliminary findings indicate that a 2007 Chevrolet van, heading north on Fish Hatchery Road, veered across the center line, colliding with a 2006 Saab traveling south. The driver of the Saab succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. The passenger of the Saab and the driver of the Chevrolet van were also transported to a local hospital where their conditions are stable.
