Description of Accident: An 85-year-old Ridgeville resident tragically died in a two-car collision. The wreck occurred on Highway 78 near Ridgeville on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Dorchester County Coroner. The incident occurred when the victim attempted to turn onto West Meadow Drive from Highway 78 and was struck by another vehicle traveling East on Highway 78. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are investigating the crash.
