Description of Accident: A three-vehicle collision on I-526 westbound near the Westmoreland Bridge claimed the life of a 74-year-old Charleston resident. A Hyundai Palisade collided with a Toyota Corolla and Lexus RX350 while on the right-hand shoulder. The victim passed away at the Medical University of South Carolina on November 21. Six other individuals sustained injuries and were hospitalized for treatment. The incident resulted in lane closures for over five hours. Police investigations into the tragic incident are ongoing.
