Description of Accident: Two individuals, a 29-year-old driver and a 35-year-old backseat passenger from Bluffton, lost their lives in a single-car crash on May River Road. At around 4:17 a.m. on Sunday, a 2023 Toyota SUV traveling east veered left and collided with a tree near Linden Park Drive. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the backseat passenger, passed away at Coastal Carolina Hospital around 5 a.m. The condition of the third passenger, who was taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center, is currently unknown. The Bluffton Township Fire Department responded to the incident.
