Description of Accident: A 57-year-old pedestrian from Marion County tragically lost his life in a Saturday morning crash near Marion. The incident occurred on Highway 76 near Hassie Road around 4 a.m. The victim was struck by a 2021 Chevrolet pickup in the westbound lane. Sadly, he succumbed to the collision at the scene. The truck driver was unharmed. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is diligently investigating the details surrounding this unfortunate event.
