Description of Accident: A 34-year-old Maryland man was tragically killed on Wednesday morning in West Columbia. The victim was struck by a vehicle while in the roadway on the 4000 block of Edmund Highway around 6:40 a.m. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver involved stayed at the scene and was unharmed. Investigations by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are ongoing.
