Description of Accident: A fatal crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Brick House Road near Rose Road in Cherokee County, S.C. A 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck, traveling west, veered across the center line and collided head-on with a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban SUV, which was heading east on Brick House Road. The 66-year-old driver of the pickup truck from Gaffney was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and front passenger of the SUV were transported by EMS to Spartanburg Regional for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. An autopsy will be conducted later as part of the investigation.
