Description of Accident: A 66-year-old woman from Moncks Corner has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash involving a Folly Beach Police cruiser and a pedestrian. The incident occurred at 5:01 a.m. on U.S. 17 at President Street on Monday. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries and passed away on Wednesday. The crash is currently being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, and it is unclear at this time if any charges will be filed in connection with the collision.
