Description of Accident: Authorities in Charleston County are blaming drunk driving for a crash on Shilelagh Oaks Parkway near S.C. 165 that killed two people. According to reports, the driver of a northbound GMC pickup crossed the doubled line and struck an oncoming Chevrolet van head-on. Both the passenger and driver of the van, a 52-year-old woman and 47-year-old man, were both pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash in Ravenel, SC. The driver of the GMC truck failed a field sobriety test. He was treated for injuries, then arrested for two counts of felony DUI resulting in death.
