Description of Accident: An Anderson County Sheriff’s deputy was responding to a reported armed robbery call when the wreck occurred. According to published reports, the deputy and another vehicle were both turning onto Pearman Dairy Road at around 3:40 when they collided. The deputy was treated for injuries while the other driver, an 80-year-old Anderson woman, was airlifted to a local hospital, where she later passed away.
