Description of Accident: Details of a fatal crash that occurred on March 28th in the Surfside Beach area were released by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. An 80-year-old man driving a Mini Cooper was hit by a Nissan Altima while attempting to turn left from Gibson Avenue onto Highway 544 also known as Duck Pond Rd. He was taken to the hospital and died on April 7th.
