Description of Accident: A fatal car accident occurred on Friday morning around 7:20 a.m. on Highway 501 at the Highway 22 exit ramp near Aynor, resulting in one death and three injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that a 2017 Honda Accent traveling west on Highway 22 failed to yield and collided with a 2009 Nissan Murano heading north on Highway 501. The driver of the Honda, a 33-year-old male from Calabash, North Carolina, died after being taken to Conway Medical Center by EMS. The three occupants of the Nissan were also injured and taken to Grand Strand Hospital.
