Description of Accident: A teacher from Spartanburg School District Five lost their life in a morning crash near Dorman High School. The collision occurred around 7:00 a.m. at Highway 221 and SC-290. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers, the victim was making a left turn onto SC-290 from Highway 221 when a truck from the opposite direction collided with her vehicle. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as a 47-year-old Woodruff woman. The other driver was hospitalized for injuries, their condition presently undisclosed.
