At Joye Law Firm Injury Lawyers, our commitment to injured workers goes far beyond the courtroom. For nearly twenty years, we have proudly supported Kids Chance of South Carolina, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children whose parents have suffered workplace injuries pursue their education goals. Through scholarships and community support, Kids’ Chance gives families hope and students educational opportunities they might not have otherwise.
Why Kids Chance Matters to Us
As a firm that represents injured workers across South Carolina, Joye Law Firm understands that recovery is not just physical. Financial uncertainty, lost income, and long-term medical needs can derail a family’s future plans. Sadly, education is often one of the first casualties.
Since its founding in 1995, Kids Chance has awarded over 500 scholarships totaling $1.3 million, making a meaningful impact across South Carolina. That impact is not abstract for us, it’s personal. One meaningful example is Ebony Bland, an outstanding young woman and the daughter of Joye Law Firm client Larry Bland, who was awarded a Kids Chance of South Carolina scholarship. Stories like Ebony’s remind us exactly why this work matters and why our firm is proud to stand behind this mission year after year.
Our support of Kids Chance is part of a broader, longstanding commitment to education. Through Joye Law Firm’s own annual scholarship program, we help South Carolina students pursue their academic goals by offering seven scholarships each year. Firm Founder Atty. Reese Joye started our scholarship program in 2006 because he knew that education creates opportunity, stability, and long-term independence. Twenty years later, we are keeping his mission alive by awarding nearly $300,000 to over 100 students from every corner of the state.
Joye Law Firm Tees Off for a Cause at the Kids Chance Golf Tournaments
In addition to long-term sponsorship, Joye Law Firm actively supports Kids Chance through community involvement, including participation in its annual fundraising golf tournament. Our attorneys and staff regularly show up to support the cause, connect with fellow advocates, and help raise awareness for the children and families Kids Chance serves.
These events bring together people across South Carolina who share a common goal: ensuring that children affected by workplace injuries still have access to education and opportunity.
