Landmarks for Families More than Shelter Color 5k

Joye Law Firm is excited to sponsor the Landmarks for Families More than Shelter Color 5K for the third year in a row! Taking place on May 17th at the Moncks Corner Recreational Complex, this vibrant, family-friendly event invites participants to run or walk a 3-mile course while being doused in colorful fun. The race welcomes all ages, four-legged friends andstrollers are also welcome!

Proceeds benefit Landmarks for Families, formerly known as Carolina Youth Development Center, the oldest nonprofit in South Carolina and the first municipal orphanage in the United States. The organization supports local children and families through educational programs, in-home services, and residential care, all with the goal of creating safe, nurturing environments.

The event specifically helps fund programs in Berkeley County, including the Callen-Lacey Center for Children in Moncks Corner. Join us as Joye Law Firm proudly sponsors the Landmarks for Families More than Shelter Color 5K again this year in Moncks Corner on May 18th. Participants can run or walk approximately 3 miles, enjoying colorful showers along the way in this family, pet, and stroller-friendly event.

Founded in 1790, Landmarks for Families (formerly known as Carolina Youth Development Center) is South Carolina’s oldest nonprofit and the first municipal orphanage in the US. This 501c(3) non-profit offers a variety of invaluable programs from family education to residential care. The organization is guided by the mission of nurturing thriving children and families while advocating for loving and stable family environments. Landmarks for Families actively engage with children and families, providing support within their homes and schools.
