Description of Accident: A serious single-vehicle crash occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Big Block Road and Saint David’s Avenue near Highway 544. Authorities report that the vehicle struck a utility pole and caught fire, trapping the occupant inside.
Emergency crews conducted an extrication to remove those trapped in the vehicle. A 39-year-old man was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries but succumbed to those injuries four days later.
