Description of Accident: A deadly chain-reaction crash involving four vehicles occurred on northbound I-95 near mile marker 82 in Dorchester County just after 12:16 p.m. Sunday. A Cadillac SUV, Volvo SUV, and Honda SUV were all stopped in traffic when an Acura SUV approached from behind and rear-ended the Cadillac. The force of the impact pushed the Cadillac forward, causing it to strike the Volvo SUV and then the Honda SUV ahead of it. The driver of the Cadillac and one passenger were transported to a local hospital, where the driver later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the Acura SUV was also taken to the hospital with injuries.
