Description of Accident: A tragic discovery was made Saturday when a 39-year-old man reported missing two days earlier was found dead along Highway 130 near the Dollar General store, not far from the Keowee Key community in South Carolina. The man was last seen leaving work at the Dollar General around 10:00 PM on Thursday. He routinely walked home to Keowee Key, but never arrived. Investigators believe he was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night while walking home. Preliminary reports indicate that a Toyota Sienna minivan was traveling west on S.C. Highway 130 near South Craggmore Drive when it hit the man. The collision appears to have gone unreported at the time.
