Football player suffered South Carolina brain injury
admin February 4th, 2010
Sports Illustrated reported an 18-year-old boy signed a letter of intent for a football scholarship with Clemson, even though he suffered a South Carolina brain injury last December.
The boy suffered a stroke, which caused the South Carolina brain injury. He had major brain surgery to remove part of his skull to help relieve pressure to his brain.
The South Carolina brain injury victim is currently going through physical therapy and speech therapy as part of his rehab.
Clemson plans on finding a job for the boy, even though he will never be able to play football for Clemson because of his South Carolina brain injury.
