Man charged for South Carolina drunk driving accident

A $65,000 bail was set last Friday for a 43-year-old man who was charged for the death of a 19-year-old girl who was killed in a South Carolina drunk driving accident in August 2009, as reported by Go Upstate.

The man was working as an assistant manager of a restaurant where the teenage girl also worked. The man gave the girl alcohol at a private party and the girl  was later killed in a South Carolina drunk driving accident.

A five-month investigation led to the man being charged with involuntary manslaughter and three counts of providing alcohol to a minor. He is now waiting for his court date, in which he will be sentenced for his charges related to the South Carolina drunk driving accident.

One killed, another injured in a Columbia auto accident

WIS-TV reported a South Carolina auto accident involved an ambulance and a Ford Escort on Monday evening.

A vehicle maintenance worker was driving the ambulance on Platt Springs Road when the Columbia auto accident occurred.

A 17-year-old boy in the Escort was trying to pass another vehicle in front of him when he crashed into the ambulance head-on, causing the Columbia car accident.

The young boy was pronounced dead at the scene of the Columbia auto accident. A 16-year-old male passenger was airlifted to Palmetto Health Center with unknown injuries.
